Brett Hankinson the cop who fired 10 shots, and was later fired, has been indicted in the involved murder of Breonna Taylor. No officer will be charged directly in her death.
The two other officers involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor, Sargent John Mattingly and Detective Myles Cosgrove will not be charged.
Per oakgroveattorney.com/blog/ “Wanton endangerment comes in two versions: first degree and second degree. Second-degree wanton endangerment means that the accused has placed another person in substantial danger of physical injury, and is a misdemeanor crime. First-degree wanton endangerment is a felony and involves creating a situation where another person is at risk of death or serious injury in connection with behavior that manifests "extreme indifference to the value of human life."
A few days prior to the announcement Kentucky has been bracing for riots. The boarding up the windows of the federal courthouse.
An indictment doesn't mean Brett Hankinson will be charged. AMT will stay on top of any news regarding bringing justice Breonna Taylor.
