Mega star Janet Jackson is blazing summer 2020 with a new album and summer tour both titled, “Black Diamond.”
“Black Diamond” is Ms. Jackson’s first studio album since 2015’s “Unbreakable.” The tour is being produced by Live Nation.
In a post on her Instagram Jackson, 53, explained the “Black Diamond” album and tour title, writing: “Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut. I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy. There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.”
The tour will include new music, along with music from her 12 multi-platinum albums. The tour will also have a special performance of “Rhythm Nation 1814, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Jackson teamed up with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis releasing Rhythm Nation on September 19, 1989.
“Black Diamond” comes to Atlanta June 29 @ 8pm at the State Farm Arena.
