Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Shannon Brown was accused of allegedly firing a rifle at two people who were looking at homes for sale in his metro Atlanta neighborhood, police said.
Brown, 34, was arrested on an aggravated assault charge from the shooting Saturday at his home in Fayette County. He posted bond on Monday.
The former Los Angeles Lakers guard and two-time NBA champion told police he thought the couple was trying to break into his home. Brown’s home is up for sale.
It’s funny how stand your ground rules don’t apply for us black folks. One has to wonder with the vast difference in Brown getting arrested immediately after a couple entered into his home unannounced and Ahmaud Arbery’s killers Gregory McMichael, and son Travis McMichael, taking 74 days to get an arrest after video leaked of the killing and public outcry.
