Veteran Atlanta businessman and civil rights influencer, Herman Jerome Russell, founder and former CEO of H.J. Russell and Company, will have a documentary, “Building Atlanta: The Story of Herman J. Russell, all about his life and legacy as the country’s largest black owned commercial real estate development and construction firms. Russell later branched out from his well known construction and property management.
Some of Russell’s famously well known projects include many Atlanta landmarks such as the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Turner Field, Georgia Dome and State Farm Arena (formerly Phillips Arena).
