Everyone's favorite auntie will have her chance to shine with her own one-hour comedy special, Mo'Nique & Friends: Live From Atlanta', while throwing a little shade at Netflix, who she is currently suing the streaming giant for gender and racial discrimination. She accuses Netflix of low-balling her for a comedy special and paying other comedians more for their comedy specials.
This will be the queen of comedy's first stand up special in 10 years. In her Showtime promo clip, she says, “They tried to shut a b**** out. They tried to make a b**** disappear. But you can’t keep a good b**** down.”
The one-hour special was shot at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta. Featured guests, Donnell Rawlings, and new and upcoming comics, Prince T-Dub, Just Nesh, Tone-X, and Correy Bell.
Mo'Nique & Friends: Live From Atlanta will air, February 7th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.
